Stubbington Green Runners

RR10 preview

CAN you believe it, the final RR10 of the summer is here?

From April to August, the RR10 has provided a regular series of Wednesday evening runs around the county. This is the first season that Stubbington has taken part, and it has provided a fun and exciting event for some Stubbies to enter their first race.

The final one of the series takes place on Wednesday, August 16th at IBM in Hursley Park. The race starts a quarter of an hour earlier than usual, at 7.15pm.

The course is a reasonably gentle one, although a bit tight, and like the Monaco Grand Prix, overtaking can be a little tricky at times!

The course consists of three laps of IBM Hursley, with a couple of hills thrown in, and a total distance of 4.4 miles. The race starts and finishes on the main sports field and is not suitable for spikes.

For more details of the location, log onto www.rr10.org.uk but the venue is quite easy to find, probably heading to Hursley via Chandler's Ford.

Enter the Hursley site at the southern entrance. This is just south of the village of Hursley on the A3090 between Romsey and Winchester. Follow the signs to the car park. The start is near the clubhouse, which is 100 metres from the car park.
