Rose Bowl 5 - 8th October 2006
NICK KIMBER was sweet 16 - and never been kissed! - with his 16th place finish at the Rose Bowl 5.
Nick was the solitary Stubby who took part in a tough five-mile race which started and finished at the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club.
The route followed some awkward grassland and then through the narrow paths around Telegraph Woods at West End. Nick clocked a time of 32min 49sec for 16th place in a race won by Paul Ashley from Southampton Running Club in 25:55. Frances Lord from Team Southampton was the leading lady in 26th in 33:56.
A total field of 125 runners took part in a race sponsored by Norwich Union, organised by Team Southampton, and which raised money for the Wessex Cancer Trust.
