May Training Programme
OKAY, so the lighter evenings are here, Big Brother 7 is due to begin for an 13-week run on May 18th - just weeks before the launch of "Love Island" and "Celebrity X Factor" - so why stay at home? Why not get down to one of the Stubbington Tuesday or Thursday night training sessions?
Unlike Mondays at Whiteley, and the Wednesday evening run at Stubbington, the Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions are a little more structured.
Tuesdays starts from the community centre car park in Stubbington at 6.30pm and the Thursday night run starts from the Locks Heath Sports & Social Club at 7pm.
Both sessions tackle speed work, so if you are looking to spice up your running, especially on the warmer, lighter evenings, then give it a try. If you want to find out more, then please ask one of the club captains or runners around.
The sessions for May are:
Tuesday:
May 9th: 10x200s (200m walk)
May 16th: 4x800s (400m walk)
May 23: 5x1600s (ouch!) (400m walk)
May 30: 5x600 (better!) (200m walk)
Thursday:
May 4: 5 x Brownwich loop
May 11: 5x5 mins (2min rest)
May 18: 1-2-3-2-1 pyramid run x 2 (3min rest) @ Hunts Pond Rec (mind the archers!)
May 25: School of Navigation Paarlauf x 5 (mind the dogs!)
