Lottery
FOR many years, Stubbington Green Runners has supported the Rainbow Centre in Fareham. This is an education facility for children with cerebral palsy and their families. More information about the charity is available at www.rainbowcentre.org.
They have been successful in getting to the final stage (last 8) of a Peoples' Millions (Big Lottery) application to develop the specialist play areas in the garden of their new building.
You can help them secure £50,000 from the Big Lottery and allow work on this wonderful play area to commence.
All eight charity projects are being televised on Meridian's local news slot week commencing Monday, November 13th between 6pm and 7pm for the public to vote on by phone. There will be one winner each night and the loser with the highest vote through the week, so 5 projects out of 8 will win up to £50,000 each. The Rainbow Centre's Play Away project is being screened on Tuesday, November 14th pitched against a Beaulieu play scheme.
The number for the phone vote will become available on the morning of Tuesday, November 14th. If you would like to be advised of the number then please contact Sue Hunt on sue@rainbowcentre.org. This will mean that even if you cannot see the programme, you can still vote.
You will be able to vote from 9am until midnight. Any votes after this day will not count, so please put a note in your diaries now!
