London Marathon Travel
IF you are already thinking about the logistics of running at April's London Marathon, then it might be worth your while getting in touch with Portsmouth Joggers.
They will be running a coach trip for registration on Wednesday, April 19th. Every runner has to collect their number and championship chip timer from the Flora London Marathon Exhibition which is this year taking place at ExCel in London's Docklands.
The Expo takes place from April 19th to April 22nd and it is expected to attract 70,000 visitors over the four days. This year, organisers have extended the opening hours on Wednesday until 9pm.
Apart from registering for the race, and picking up your chip and number, the exhibition features loads of displays and attracts many of the sport's top stars. There is also a huge pasta party, and many of the exhibitors offer running gear at pretty decent discounted prices.
Portsmouth Joggers are running a coach on the Wednesday which leaves Wallington Village Hall at 7.30am. The cost of the trip is £16.50, and for more details contact Alan Marsh on 02392-750691.
