Hayling Billy 2006
IT is one of the most popular summertime midweek races, as entries are now being accepted for the Hayling Billy 5.
This year's event, which is organised by the Portsmouth-based Victory AC, takes place on Wednesday, June 14th at 7.30pm.
Many of Stubbington's runners will be involved in the RR10 midweek races on a Wednesday evening, but the Hayling Billy 5 falls on a blank Wednesday and as in previous years is sure to receive a good turnout.
The race is a flat five-miler, out and back along the old Hayling Billy Railway Line nature trail.
This will be the ninth running of the race, and the previous eight have raised £7,200 for the Aid of Fort (Friends of Radiotherapy Trust) at St Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth.
There is a maximum field of 300 runners, and there will also be a series of junior races for eight to 10-year-old, 11-12 years and 13-14 years.
