WHAT better way to start 2007 than a run round Bere Forest on New Year's Day morning at 11am?
Stubbies will be meeting in the Wood End car park in the same places as the past few years for the traditional Hair of the Dog run on Monday, January 1st.
Don't forget your money for the car park, it would be a bad start to the year if on day one you got a parking ticket! Everybody is welcome, from kids to grandparents, walkers, runners, dogs - the lot!
You can have a gentle stroll around the forest, you can run or just sit and look after the mulled wine and mince pies.
"I am happy to make the mince pies if some body else can supply the mulled wine, please," said Mike Clarke.
So how to get to Bere Forest: from Fareham, head towards Wickham, then head north along the A32. Go past the Roebuck public house on the left, and then turn right about 200 yards past the pub.
The Wood End car park is about 400 yards up the road on the right hand side.
