Hair of the Dog
WHAT better way to start 2007 than a run round muddy Bere Forest on New Year's Day morning.
Stubby members will once again be gathering in the Wood End car park on Monday, January 1st at 11am for this traditional Hair of the Dog gathering and run - don't forget your money for the car park, it would be a bad start to the year if on day one you got a parking ticket.
Chairman Mike Clarke says: "Everybody is welcome, from kids to grandparents, walkers, runners, dogs - the lot!. You can have a gentle stroll round the forest, you can run, or just sit and look after the mulled wine and mince pies.
"I am happy to make the mince pies if some body else can supply the mulled wine please."
So how to get to Bere Forest. From Fareham, head towards Wickham, then head north along the A32, go past the Roebuck public house on the left, turn right about 200 yards past the pub. The Wood End car park is about 400 yards up the road on the right hand side.
