Guernsey Easter Runs
HOW DO you fancy spending your Easter holidays in the Channel Islands? Then why not join fellow stubbies for a weekend in Guernsey for the Easter Running Festival.
Over four days, competitors take part in four races - a 10km race on Good Friday, a 4.75-mile cross country on the Saturday, a 4x2 mile cross country relay on the Sunday, with a half marathon starting and finishing in St Peterport on Easter Monday.
Caroline and Glen Street have become regular visitors to the Easter Running Festival, and they will be flying out from Southampton again next year.
They will shortly be booking accommodation in St Peterport - they usually book self-catering appartments attached to a pub in the island's capital.
"Everyone on the island is very friendly and they even have races for children each day," says Glen. "There are lots of things to see and do, and the island is especially good for walking with coastal paths similar to Cornwall" - beware one of Caroline's legendary cliff walks!!
If you would like to join them, call Caroline or Glen on 01329-845330 for more information of e-mail Glen at gstreet@gresham-computing.com
