Eastleigh 10k

THE B&Q Eastleigh 10km road race will be breaking new ground next Spring with a morning start.

Traditionally, the popular race which starts and finishes at Fleming Park Leisure Centre and is organised by Southampton Running Club, has had a 2.30pm start.

However for next March's race, which takes place on Sunday, March 25th, the event will begin at 10am. It is understood the race time was moved after consultations with the police - and one which will probably be met with approval by many runners.

Entry forms are now out for the Eastleigh 10km, as well as the Mad March 20 on Sunday, March 4th in Christchurch - both HRRL races.

The club does have an allocation of some places if the races become full, but it is advisable that if you want to enter these events that you get in early. Log onto the HRRL website at http://www.hrrl.org.uk/  where you can download forms.

The Totton 10km race on Sunday, April 15th, and which brings the curtain down on the HRRL season, is another sell-out event and so it is worth having that one pencilled into the diary and to enter early.
