October Race Diary

EVER tried The Stickler? This is one of those must-do races on the south coast which is part of the Saucony Dorset Three Peaks Challenge.

This year's race, which is organised by the Dorset Doddlers Running Club, takes place on Sunday, October 29th at 10.30am, and consists of a testing 10.2 mile run which is based at the Shillingstone Primary School in Blandford.

Now in its 12th year, The Stickler includes the Okeford Hill Beacon, the 500ft Stickle Path, Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill for a total of 1,500ft of climb.

If you want to find out more, then have a look at the October race diary. The Stickler is one of a number of races advertised.

For the Hampshire Road Race League, entry forms are already being distributed at races for the Hardley A Half, which takes place on Sunday, October 15th.

Last year this race was won by our very own Mark Le Gassick, and consists of a sweeping half marathon which takes a route through the New Forest, down to Lepe Beach and an undulating slog back to the finish at Gangwarily Leisure Centre in Blackfield.
