Charmouth Challenge, 8th July 2006
PETER Moreton was the lone Stubbie who ventured to Dorset to take part in the Charmouth to Golden Gap Challenge near Bridport in Dorset.
This is an 8.25-mile cross country race, an out and back toughie which starts and finishes at Charmouth School.
It's a picturesque race along the Dorset coastline, although the weather was hot on the day.
Peter finished 124th in a time of 1hr 17min 29sec. The race was won by Paul Holley from Axe Valley Runners in a time of 52min 57sec. Janet Wilson from the Devon Fire & Rescue Service was the firts lady finisher in 1:06.40 for 46th overall in a race which attracted 214 runners.
