Becky Gough Wins Bronze
BECKY GOUGH is having a phenomenal year on road, cross country and track. The Stubbington teenager was part of a squad who won bronze at the Nike South of England Road Relays at Aldershot’s Rushmoor Arena.
Representing Team Southampton’s under-17 squad, Becky ran the second leg taking over in 34th place. She charged through the field picking off other teams in the process to post the fifth fastest individual time of the day in her age-group.
Becky ran a storming 3km leg in 10min 35sec to move the club up to seventh leg, allowing team-mate Louise Webb to overtake four runners to help the Hampshire club claim third place.
