Arundel 10k, 9th April 2006
BEN Whittaker was the fastest Stubbington runner competing in the Arundel Park 10km Road Race. Ben finished in 33rd place with a time of 43min 16sec, with team-mate Neil Jarvis clockng 47:17 to claim 70th spot.
Rachel Whittaker was Stubbington's lone female runner as she clocked 56:03 for 235th place.
A total of 418 runners took part in the race which is a challenging 10km with a number of climbs in the picturesque West Sussex countryside. This was the 12th staging of the popular race, which starts from the splendour of Arundel Castle and which this year had a new route.
The race was won by James Baker from Chichester Runners in 34:47. The first lady home was Karrie Blake from Denmead Striders with 41:26 which was good enough for 21st overall.
