Norwich Union Rose Bowl 5-mile race
STUBBINGTON'S Nick and Helen Kimber were among a field of 201 runners who took part in the Norwich Union Rose Bowl 5-mile race.
The event, now in its second year and which raised money for Wessex Cancer Care, started and finished at the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club.
The course was an undulating and tough one, taking runners into Telegraph Woods. Nick finished in 36min 20sec for 37th place, while Helen came home in 119th place with a time of 45:41.
Jon Leigh was Stubbington's best runner on the day. He revelled in the conditions to finish 15th in 33:28. The race was won by Southampton Running Club's Andy Morgan-Lee in 26:19, and team-mate Erica Sheldon placed third overall in 29:46 to win the ladies' prize. Individual winners:

Female 15-20: Georgina Barton 37:42.
Female Vet 35-44: Sally Rouse (Hardley Runners) 35:05.
Female Vet 45-54: Lena Shepherd 37:42.
