HRRL League Standings, Dec 2005

STUBBINGTON'S Mark Le Gassick continues to hold a strong lead in the Hampshire Road Race League rankings.

After four events, including last Sunday's Hayling 10 in which he finished fourth, Mark remains the league's most consistent runner, holding a 49 point lead over James Buis from Lordshill Road Runners with 415pts.

Consistency is also the name of the game for Mike Harper, who has run in all four races, and lies 12th overall with 276pts.

Other Stubbington placings: 27th Ross Lamport 181, 39th Andy Simpson 151, 67th Gordon Reid 86.

In the ladies event, Lesley Harding, who has run three of the four races, only missing the Lordshill 10, is Stubbington's best placed runner in 25th place with 200pts. Lisa Edwards lies 114th with 51pts and Chris Haskell 116th with 50pts.

On the team front, Stubbington's men hold fifth place in division one with 19pts from leaders Southampton Running Club who have 6pts from the opening quartet of races, and are looking comfortable in mid-table. In the B division, Stubbington lie eighth on 39pts in a division also headed by Southampton, after an excellent fourth place at Hayling.

For the ladies, Stubbington's women are just outside the Division 2 promotion frame with 16pts, from leaders Overton with 11 and Victory AC with 13. The B team lie 16th out of 17 in their division.
