Alice Holt Forest 10km
CAROLINE Street won the battle of the sexes over husband Glen at the Alice Holt Forest 10km race.
Fresh from her Ironman triumph and just 24 hours after running the anchor leg in the Test Way relay, Caroline clocked 1hr 3min 1sec for the multi-terrain course in Surrey. Caroline finished 444th - 26 places and almost two minutes ahead of Glen, who recorded a time of 1hr 5min 59sec for 470th.
Also wearing Stubbington colours, in the wonderfully named "super super veteran male category" was John Randall, who finished in 57min 23sec for 352nd place overall.
The race, organised by Farnham Runners, attracted a field of 500 runners.
